Corporate lunches
My first week at Merrill Lynch was a whirlwind of activity, and even lunches were rendered productive. Monday featured a welcoming lunch with a ranking manager and several peers who were in or recently out of the ML training program (POA, or Paths of Achievement.) Tuesday through Friday, I enjoyed even more corporate lunches. Twice this week I had the option of corporate dinners as well. Usually, the options are standardized, but I did enjoy opportunities on Monday and Wednesday to employ a menu.
The question arises… what do I do to adjust breakfast and dinner in a way that accomodates a lunchtime indulgence? When it’s breakfast time, there is no time… only time for the drive-through at McDonald’s next to the Dallas North Tollway. When it’s dinner time, I’m too tired… too tired to find anything that isn’t fairly quick and rewarding of a hard day’s work.
The only solution in sight is a nightly workout at the local YMCA before dinner. Too bad it closes at 8:30pm, opens for only half a day on Saturday, and closes on Sunday. How will I loose weight before buying suits in January? Hmmm… perhaps a can of tuna is in order for breakfast?

Just surfing the net when i remembered your site. Good to hear you are sticking on the diet. I have read some of this blog and find it very entertaining reading. I myself have been hitting the gym at 5:30 in the morning for a while and have been holding at 220 for some time. Good to hear from you. If you get a chance you should try some interval training on the treadmill. It will really bust through plateus.
