New Year, Same Goals
Well, I hope Holland is a better financial advisor than he is a psychic. Christmas was bad, very bad, for dieting. When last I checked in, I weighed 160 pounds. But just like that 160 became 170. What happened?! With a little more attention to what I ate (that was the crux of the problem, I took my eye off the ball), though, I’ve been able to “cut the fat” back down to 163 this morning. This is satisfactory, for now.
All of 20 days into the new year, the state of my resolutions is not good. But at least the weight-control process seems to be getting back on track. The 150s still mock me from just out of reach.

My psychic powers also failed as to my own “progress.” Yes, I failed utterly and miserably in my attempt to start a one-month campaign of weight loss. Instead I confirmed that cheese fries are not, in fact, fish. (Much empirical data gathering in the field led to this conclusion.) I now wiegh 187 lbs. The situation is worsening. Therefore, I say, let there be happiness with 163 pounds. I last saw those digits somewhere in 2002 or so.
